Guests film better with a nudge. Keep prompts short, specific, and a little fun.
Early evening
- Pan the room before anyone sits down.
- Ask someone how they know the couple.
- Film the cocktail hour from hip height.
Dinner and toasts
- One piece of advice for the couple, 10 seconds max.
- Capture your table’s reaction to the toasts, not just the speaker.
- The cake, the dessert table, the late-night snack.
Dance floor
- First song everyone knows the words to.
- Get low, film feet.
- Hand the camera to someone you have not met yet.
Rules that help the editor
- Hold each clip for at least five seconds.
- Horizontal or vertical, pick one and keep going.
- Do not stop recording the second something ends. The laugh after is the good part.
